Fantasy meets reality as a battle between magic and order unfolds in REYNATIS, an all-new dark action RPG coming Fall 2024 to Nintendo Switch™, PS4®, PS5®, and Steam®!

Seeking freedom through strength, the wizard Marin heads to Shibuya, where he meets Sari, an officer of the MEA, an organization dedicated to keeping wizards under control. Conceal your magic to explore the city as a regular civilian and shop or take on quests, or use your explosive powers to reach new locations and battle those who stand in your way. Fight for what you believe in in this stylish, spellbinding RPG from director TAKUMI and featuring music by Yoko Shimomura!

The first thing I notice about the game is that they attempt to make it an ominous atmosphere; you’ve got these mysterious people who are obviously outliers from the norm, part of a secret organization with possibly nefarious intentions. While they have things like hoods or masks to hide their appearance, their clothing is outlandish compared to normal people to where they stick out like a sore thumb, however, that’s probably why the trailer said “Wizards are nails that stick out”. More than that, all of this is going on in Shibuya, Japan.

So, the biggest thing I got from the trailer is that a magic policing organization eliminates wizards it presumes to be dangerous. That a portal that is accessible to a place called “Dominus Forest”, where someone who is strong enough to help our protagonist is. However, I have no idea what they are helping them with and why Magical Officers are pursuing our MC.

The graphics for the game leave something to be desired, but as long as the gameplay is fluent it should be fine. Overall, looks like a game I could potential checkout just to see if the story is enthralling enough with a gameplay depth deep enough to keep me interested.
