I’ll be honest with you, wasn’t really too hype about this episode of Re:Zero; mainly because this episode centered around The Songstress, Liliana Masquerade. While I understand that in order to counteract Wrath’s brainwashing authority we needed The Songstress, I felt like her role was minor compared to that of Priscilla. Not only that, but Priscilla had many mysterious questions which hadn’t been answered as of yet; such as how she met Al, why she has the ability she does, and what happened to those numerous husbands of her’s?
The battle with Sirius Romanée-Conti, The Sin Archbishop of Wrath, wasn’t very interesting at all. It didn’t appear as crazy as I believed due to the massive plot-filler of Liliana’s backstory and the fact we’d already seen Sirius killed by Reinhard before. The only thing I’m extremely impressed by is how Priscilla was able to easily dispatch Sirius without too much of an effort; just needed Liliana present to take care of all the people she would brainwash due to the fact that they share both emotions and injuries with Sirius, making defeating her risky since it would harm innocents (as seen when Reinhard decapitated her and it killed everyone else too).
The next episode should feature another around of Regulus Corneas, the Sin Archbishop of Greed against Reinhard, Emilia, and Subaru. Honestly, that’s the main highlight I’m waiting on, along with Al against The Sin Archbship of Lust, Capella.
