Zenless Zone Zero has been my current addiction; the most fun I’ve had with a Gacha game since I played Honkai Impact 3rd, which is also made by HoYoverse (formerly MiHoYo). Currently I am “Interknot Level 47”, and have did what missions I could. I have did them on both regular and Challenge for Story Mode, and went as far as I could in Hollow Zero and Shiyu Defense. Until I reach Level 50, I won’t be strong enough to challenge the 11/11 NESTS or complete more on the Shiyu Defense Critical Node (without the Anton cheese). So I am happy to hear that a new update is right around the corner since I am biding my time and doing dailies/resource gathering until I get to the level I need.
Let’s go ahead and check out the trailer they gave us and I’ll go over a few things I’m excited about while giving my impressions about the entirety of it.
One of the things that is immediately noticeable is that a group known as “The Mountain Lions” stands as a clear antagonist, as well as “Jane”. Introducing another faction into the mix, but I’m not quite sure from the trailer if Jane is apart of the Mountain Lions or not. She does seem to clash with The Criminal Investigation Special Response team, who also goes up against The Mountain Lions; but no idea if both antagonists work for the same side. I find this interesting since we already have a few more antagonist from the first three chapters of the game; The Vision Corporation and possibly whoever Victoria Housekeeping Co. works for.
New agent story for Qingyi means we’ll get to understand a bit more about her background and possibly into a few others (and her relationship to them). These stories are always nice for that; especially since I didn’t like Nekomata at first and grew to love her from the information I gained from her character-specific story given in Agent Stories. We also get a new Security Boo S-Rank Bamboo, which will be good for those who want to run a full Criminal Investigation Special Response squad.
Also, we’ve got new version events; new mini-games; new gameplay “Inferno Reap”, “Camella Golden Week”, “Scene One, Shot One”, and others.
Seems they are loading a bunch of content right as the game was in fear of losing out on people because there was nothing to do. After the weekly reset and I do all the Hunter and Hollow Zero missions, I’m just stuck doing my dailies right now until I can hit Interknot Level 50 and take on the Shiyu Defense Critical Node as well as NESTS with its difficulty at 11/11. So I’m definitely excited to see what they bring and hopefully the content will last us for sometime.
