【1st Episode Impressions】I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level

I’ve been really into Isekai anime recently. While I’ve seemed to watch plenty, I’m really a fan of the ones that the protagonist is extremely overpowered compared to regular people; and this is simply because they’ve trained extremely hard over a period of time from believing they’re not good enough, to simply being imbued with that type of power from the onset. Though, it could also be that the protagonist is just extremely powerful and doesn’t understand the outrageousness of their own strength.

This one is a little different, and it’s honestly refreshing.

The main character, Azusa Aizawa, is someone who didn’t get hit by a truck like most characters or get killed by someone; she was simply a wage slave who died due to overworking. Making her job the priority of her whole life, she ended up working herself to death within her 20’s and was granted a new lease on life by the Goddess of another world that took pity/favor upon her. Granting her wish, she was made to be a Level 1 Immortal Witch who could spend her days lazing about and live a long and stress-free life that was the direct opposite of her busy, career driven one which caused her to pass away without getting a chance to do much else.

Eventually Azusa became known as “The Witch of the Highlands” due to her living location and being the only witch from that area, she has a reputation for helping people with potions and just being a friendly face. Also, she is so very well known simply because of her long life span at this point; being alive for 300-years will do that to you.

However, it seems that her daily routine of killing low-level slimes for money has caused her to hit the maximum level, 99, over the 300-years she’s been alive. This means that Azusa was unwittingly leveling up day-after-day just being an easygoing, stress-free Witch. Once word got out, many people began to show up to challenge her (Adventurers, and even a Dragon!). This has caused her to have an apprentice, but also could shake-up her living situation due to the fact that she’s now known to be powerful in addition to just being friendly and a good healer.
