DAN DA DAN‘s 12th Episode was pretty good. I expected more inline from Ken (Okarun) possibly confessing to Momo since the realization that he’s in-love with her dawned upon him back in episode 11, but we get something more akin to a more focused version of the passive-aggressive behaviors that Momo and he already exhibit. Think about it; why was Momo so obsessed with the possibility that Okarun was making out? And why does Okarun believe that hanging around Momo would be worse for wear since her childhood friend (first love) appeared?
The interesting thing about all of this is we see interaction between Jiji and Okarun, who we both can tell are aiming for Momo’s affections (even though they appear to be solely within our protagonists’ favor). However, each group runs into problems after going to Jiji’s house, which has spirits haunting the place.
The thing that irked me about this episode is that the spirits present drove the other mediums to death, thus it must be pretty strong and possesses malicious intentions. Momo being the psychic and Jiji having no powers; you’d think they want to be together just in case Aliens force them into an alternate dimension again or spirits have a way to nullify Okarun’s abilities. I think splitting up, even during the day time, was a very bad call. Also, we see another instance of Momo being in a rape-like situation, which may make a few people uncomfortable. All-in-all, the episode had some minor hiccups but left us on a cliffhanger which guarantees action the next time we see DAN DA DAN!
