NOTEThis game is coming both to STEAM and Xbox.
Ever since I played the original Final Fantasy VII, I have not been able to fall back in love with turn-based role-playing games. Sure, some crept in during that same time period or shortly after (The Legend of Dragoon, Golden Sun), but this genre has been dead to me for the most part. However, upon seeing the artwork and concept for Threads of Time, I became intrigued.
The entire premise looks massively interesting in how multiple heroes come together from different periods within time itself. I am wondering about the story and why this needs to be the case, and what could pose such a threat that time itself is forcing heroes to team-up together, as well as confront different things through entirely different periods within history. No idea if it’s some Godlike being who views time as linear, or whether-or-not it’s a time manipulating enemy (or one that’s ancient). But this definitely has my attention!
Beyond that, the turn-based combat is made dynamic in its effects. I love how much time they made things to look good, and how unique the settings for each period is. Adding this to my STEAM Wishlist immediately.
