【Re:Zero】Episode 60 Impressions

This Episode of Re:Zero was a lot more intense since it dealt with everyone finally engaging in combat to some degree with the Sin Archbishop they’re tasked with taking on. Considering how powerful just an individual Sin Archbishop is, taking on all those present simultaneously could work, but I do not see how it’s possible without losses. Sure, Subaru can return by death, but he seems to value his life a lot more since the meeting he had with all the witches back in Season 2.

Considering that Regulus is the most powerful, it makes sense that Reinhard would need to take him on. However, even with the seemingly unstoppable power that Reinhard possesses, he seems to be at a stalemate with Regulus as far as his power goes. They both seem to be nothing more than minor inconveniences to one another, making his defeat seem like an impossibility unless they figure out what’s making him invincible. Though at the very end of the episode, we come to find out that Subaru has planned something.

The fight with Regulus however, was insanity thus far. Being able to pick up entire bodies of water and use the droplets as projectiles, Emilia attempting to strike Regulus in his balls, and even Reinhard knocking Regulus into his own attack did not work at all. Also, Reinhard got thrown into the air and no idea how far up he’s going to go and when he’ll actually be back. It’s going to be crazy to see how Subaru and Emilia can pull off fighting Regulus considering the fact that their most powerful fighter is currently out of the fray and this is the Sin Archbishop which kidnapped our Half-Elf Waifu and nearly took off our protagonist’s leg with minimal effort.

Priscilla and the Songtress are going up against the Sin Archbishop of Wrath, the one who claims to be Betelgeuse’s wife. While the Songtress is present merely to use her voice to counteract Wrath’s authority, Priscilla is fighting her in one-on-one combat and is the one vying to defeat her. To me, this is incredibly impressive considering that she’s someone in contention for the crown of their lands, and her servant, Al, is also taking on the Sin Archbishop of Lust by himself despite the fact she has Dragon’s Blood flowing within her.

While I won’t get into everyone’ situation here, it’s setting up things to be absolutely insane. I’m really looking forward to how everything is going to play out and what our protagonists do to come through this situation. The authorities of the Sin Archbishops are crazy to say the least, and defeating them will prove troublesome. The Gluttonies seem to be strong but only can wipe existence from people if consumed, and we have seen Reinhard kill Wrath with little effort. Regulus and Capella are going to be the troublesome ones, and I have no idea how strong Al actually is. Guess we’ll find out soon!
