I am familiar with Garou from the first Mark of the Wolves, however, seeing as I never played the game, I have no idea how he plays. The only version of his gameplay I saw was from The King of Fighters XV, and I didn’t like his aesthetic nor how he played within it. Seeing as how he’s back within City of the Wolves, I figure I’ll check out whether-or-not the redesign within the thumbnail peaks my interest if he’s got a total overhaul.
IMPRESSIONS
The very first thing that I noticed was his aesthetic within City of the Wolves compared to his most recent appearance in The King of Fighters XV; it’s much better and he appears to be a cooler character in appearance. His play style is definitely better looking than within KOFXV to me, but it isn’t as smooth as I would like. Also, both of his Super Arts aren’t that impressive to me; taking too long for nothing and not as flashy as I think it would be for someone who can fight in a back-turned stance and is a hardcore martial artist. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m still not too much of a fan of him, but definitely commend SNK for giving him an aesthetic.
