SQUARE ENIX announced today that KILLER INN, the thrilling multiplayer murder mystery action game, is now available in Early Access on PC via Steam. In KILLER INN, players are invited to a mysterious castle full of secrets by a shadowy organization known as Astra to compete to win unfathomable riches through deceit, deduction and maybe even murder.
About KILLER INNKILLER INN is a murder mystery action game, fought between the minority team of wolves and the majority team of lambs. Set in a mysterious old castle, 24 players engage in a life-or-death battle of deception. Wolves must disguise themselves amongst the lambs, taking them down one by one. The lambs collect clues (hair, fingerprints, clothing, etc.) left behind at the murder scenes to narrow down the wolves and eliminate them. Enjoy a battle between detectives and murderers as if you have wandered into the world of a mystery drama.
KILLER INN is a collaborative project between TBS GAMES, the game business brand of TBS Television, and Square Enix. Combining the entertainment field know-how of both companies, we will bring a new experience to customers inside and outside Japan with this brand-new IP.
In KILLER INN, players are invited to a mysterious castle full of secrets by a shadowy organization known as Astra to compete to win unfathomable riches. They will be randomly and secretly assigned one of two roles: Wolves, whose mission is to hunt and kill, and Lambs, who must fight back and survive the mayhem or escape. Players must use every weapon, tool and clue in their arsenal to survive and win. By the end of the night, all players must kill, be killed, or escape the madness. A bloody good time awaits those who dare to compete.
Key Features- New Dynamic Social Deduction — Power matters in the end. Lambs must work together to scour the castle for resources and investigate clues from slayed players to deduce and hunt the killers. Meanwhile, Wolves must put on a convincing show to gain trust, all while covering their tracks and continuing their killing spree until there’s no one left.
- Varied Gameplay Mechanics — To survive, devise and thrive, players must level up their gameplay by completing quests, looting chests for weapons and armor, stealing from fellow players, hiding evidence, bribing witnesses, setting up intricate traps, upgrading equipment and more.
- Vibrant Cast of Characters — Players can choose from over 20 characters, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, abilities and unique backstories to find the one that best suits their playstyle.
- Enhancing Cosmetics — Cosmetics will be available to purchase to help players slip into the skin of a killer or detective.
Starting today, Lambs and Wolves from around the world experience the following content in KILLER INN, with additional content updates to arrive in the upcoming weeks:
- Playable Characters – Through gameplay, players can unlock a total of 27 playable characters, each with two unique abilities. Players can also instantly unlock characters through an optional in-game purchase.
- Four Game Modes – Players can select one of the following game modes to play:
- Tutorial: this guided mode will walk players through the game’s essential rules and game flow, preparing them to dive into the action
- Training: this single player mode enables players to run freely around the game maps and familiarize themselves with the controls
- Casual: participate in thrilling matches with a total of 24 players
- Custom: play with a specific group of players or friends (recommended for 8-9 players or more)
- Maps –Two maps will be available: Lunum Wing and Solarium Wing
