JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is one of my favorite anime to watch because of the sheer absurdity of the entire series. You never really know what’s going to happen next, and you have no idea the types of personalities the characters will possess and the twists-of-fate they will endure.
While I haven’t gotten a chance to finish Stone Ocean yet, it’s nice to see that we’ve already got a teaser trailer for Part 7. I’m going to post the trailer below and give you my impressions!
JJBA always felt like life-or-death situations or someone going against an insurmountable opponent. This one appears as though it’s a race across America and our main character wants to win it. This is a plot I certainly didn’t see coming, and I have no real idea what to expect from it. What type of sinister intentions or world-breaking schemes can arise from something as simple as a race?
However, we do see someone say, “Whoever wins this race will be a world-renowned hero!”….huh? Why? Why would you be recognized world-wide for winning a race? This has to do with either the terms of the race, the rewards given to the winner, or the prestige allowing for a massive amount of clout.
The characters themselves looks interesting as we have someone with a GOLDEN GRILL with the words “Go! Go! Zeppeli”. Makes me wonder if he’s part of the family which originally taught Jonathan how to use “Hamon”, which was prevalent in Part 1: Phantom Blood and Part 2: Battle Tendency. So many questions.
To me, this trailer looks good, but gives me so many questions without a real preview of what the overall plot will be about except a brutal race. Nothing to do now but wait for a proper trailer where more will be revealed, and possibly a proper introduction to the main characters.
