【AnimeUmbrellas.com】Product Review

Share This Post:

AnimeUmbrellas.com reached out to me to review one of their products. As a result, I was shipped my choice of umbrella from their website’s selection (and of course I went with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). This review is coming a bit late, as I received the Umbrella a week or two ago, but have been suffering from health related issues. So I appreciate their patience.

As always, I intend to give a fair and just product review. While I did receive this umbrella for free for the sole purpose of this review, it will not have any impact on my thoughts.

  IMPRESSIONS

The very first thing that surprised me about this umbrella was the packaging. It comes very neat in a black rectangular box which bears the name “Anime Umbrellas” in stylized font with their website at the bottom in golden letters. Opening it up, you are treated to the umbrella wrapped in protective bubble wrap. Removing it allows you to see the rubber mechanism in place to keep the umbrella compact and secure when not in use and finally how it looks being completely opened.

The package was undamaged and the contents were in good condition. The bubble wrap insured that nothing was out-of-place or broken, and I did not have any issues resulting from tears or malfunctions.

The next thing to talk about is the size. This umbrella is enough to cover an adult while being compact size. If you’re like me and carry about a backpack into work and need an umbrella small enough to fit for “Just in Case” scenarios, this is perfect. It’s small enough to be in places that are convenient if a surprise downpour comes from nowhere.

The next thing I want to talk about is build quality. I was actually shocked by how good it looks. Above you can see a picture I took and see that it matches the artwork 1:1. The material in itself does not feel cheap and even as I moved the umbrella around for photos it did not seem fragile. Though, the real test will be once it begins to get wet and if after repeated use the images will wash off; but considering it’s an umbrella and the purpose is to block water, I’m sure that AnimeUmbrellas took that into account while printing.

The only issue I have are the graphics used. On Facebook some years ago, I remember posting this picture of Tanjiro before. I have seen this design on various other things being sold, so I have no real idea whether-or-not the artwork is licensed or free use; but considering this is on many other products, I’m leaning towards the latter.

Overall, this was a pretty great experience and I’ve got a stylish umbrella to replace the one I normally carry to work. I’m surprised by great the presentation and build the quality is for an anime umbrella, and thus I can understand the price tag of $38.50. You get a sturdy umbrella with the ability to safely shut it after use, it’s compact enough to travel or keep in lockers or backpacks, and it’s printed with quality in mind. Definitely a fan!
